Water cooled / stern tubes

Maritex have a long history of success with their water cooled bearing range, with an extensive stock list and fast turn around of custom size bearings, Maritex are the obvious choice for your next bearing replacement.

Oil cooled

The Maritex grade 1810SG bearing for oil cooled applications, with specially developed long helical grooves that assist in continuous lubrication with cool oil at the bearing surface, are one of the only successful non metallic oil cooled bearings on the market. The Maritex grade 1810SG bearings are recommended for oil lubricated high speed turning shafts and are coloured Maritex Green for easy identification.

Rudder bearings

For slow speed applications such as rudder bearings, Maritex bearings can be run dry, with water lubrication or with grease lubrication.

New 2004 version of 1810 grade

Ever striving to improve on their products, Maritex grade 1810 composite bearings incorporate the latest in nano technology, Maritex have brought an already reliable bearing to new heights.

As used in this 680 Tonne lift, the weight rests on two Maritex bearings which have to allow the pulleys to rotate freely. Static test was to 1000 tonnes.
