The Powertrain Marine Joint 115 and 130
  • for Diesel engines up to 600 HP
  • CV/thrust coupling for use between marine transmissions and propeller shafts
  • The technology is based on the standard front wheel drive joint found in most modern cars
  • Alignment problems non-existing
  • Takes up to 8 degrees deflection
  • Thrust forces no problem
  • Significant reduction of noise
  • Mechanical transmission, no rubber
  • A revolutionary patented idea
  • Very simple installation!
  •

The Powertrain range of couplings for use between marine transmission and propeller shafts consists of two separate systems. The Hydradrive (HD) series consists of 6 different models covering engine powers up to 475BHP. The CV joint is at the heart of Hydradrive technology with two separate CV joints that move independently of each other and provide a maximum angular shaft misalignment of 16 degrees. The joint transmits engine power to the propeller and the thrust bearing which is bolted to the hull and absorbs forward and aft propulsion forces which reduces noise and vibration by up to 90%. The new Marine Joint (MJ) flexible coupling is an excellent solution to the engine/propeller shaft alignment problem. The joint is very simple to install and will offer up to a maximum 8 degree misalignment down angle. The MJ series has three separate models for engine powers up to a maximum of 600 BHP and is supplied complete with an adaptor flange to mate with transmission coupling.
