The Powertrain range of couplings for use between marine transmission and propeller shafts consists of two separate systems. The Hydradrive (HD) series consists of 6 different models covering engine powers up to 475BHP. The CV joint is at the heart of Hydradrive technology with two separate CV joints that move independently of each other and provide a maximum angular shaft misalignment of 16 degrees. The joint transmits engine power to the propeller and the thrust bearing which is bolted to the hull and absorbs forward and aft propulsion forces which reduces noise and vibration by up to 90%. The new Marine Joint (MJ) flexible coupling is an excellent solution to the engine/propeller shaft alignment problem. The joint is very simple to install and will offer up to a maximum 8 degree misalignment down angle. The MJ series has three separate models for engine powers up to a maximum of 600 BHP and is supplied complete with an adaptor flange to mate with transmission coupling. |
